Volunteers
 SM&NC relies heavily on the enthusiastic commitment of our dedicated volunteers. As both a museum and a nature center we offer varied and exciting opportunities to support our staff. Join us as we welcome our visitors and help them experience our wonderful world of nature and agriculture, museum exhibitions and art. You may choose to work in other areas such as educational programming or family festivals or assist our administrative staamff with special projects and office work. We encourage you to experience a fulfilling and rewarding service and join our SM&NC Volunteer Corp.

 Immediate Opportunities:
- An interesting new way to support SM&NC is to join the Designer Show House Docent team. Docents will be present every day (except Mondays) from September 26th through October 31st to answer questions and assist visitors at this fabulous Shippan waterfront home.
- Join the Museum Ambassadors and become a trained gallery volunteer. Ambassadors greet visitors as they enter the gallery, monitor for safety of exhibit and visitors, and informally answer questions about the exhibit and other features of SM&NC. Ambassadors who so choose may also train to give more formal "Gallery Talks."
- Harvest Festival, October 17th
