Visit the Stamford Museum & Nature Center with your camp or group!

SUMMER 2018: Once Endangered: the Return of Peregrine Falcons & Wolves will be featured in our exhibit galleries!

For visiting summer camps and other summer groups, there are two options:

SELF-GUIDED VISIT
$3/camper - Stamford groups & organizations
$4/camper - all other schools & organizations
Teachers: FREE
Additional adults: $8 each

Access to the working Heckscher Farm, our North American River Otter Pond, Heckscher WILD! animal exhibit (closed Mondays), nature trails, Nature's Playground, and museum galleries.

Educational Program Visit
In addition to access to the working Heckscher Farm, our North American River Otter Pond, Heckscher WILD! animal exhibit (closed Mondays), nature trails, Nature's Playground, and museum galleries, groups can choose from the following one (1) hour program options:

Guided Tour of Heckscher Farm
(Scheduled in groups of 25 or smaller)

Get a chance to meet some of the residents of Heckscher Farm up close and learn about who calls out farm home! Meet the newest arrivals on the farm and get a chance to touch some of our farm residents.

Science Rocks!
(Scheduled in groups of 25 or smaller)

From making slime to launching rockets, discover why science rocks! We'll perform a number of age-appropriate experiments and have fun exploring a variety of different sciences!

WILD! Around the World Live Animal Program
(Scheduled in groups of 100 or smaller)

Meet live animals from all over the world as we discover the habitats in which they live and the adaptations they have to do their jobs. Meet some great scaly, slimy, furry, and feathery animals from around the globe!

Slimy & Scaly
(Scheduled in groups of 100 or smaller)

Explore the world of reptiles and amphibians! Discover what makes these slimy and scaly creatures unique by meeting some of our frogs, salamanders, lizards, turtles, and snakes.

The Night Sky Planetarium Show
(Scheduled in groups of 45 or smaller)

Learn how to recognize common constellations found in our night skies. From the Great Bear to Orion the Hunter, discover some of the stories behind the pictures in the sky.

Trail Hike Adventure
(Scheduled in groups of 25 or smaller)

Get your group out in the woods! We'll roll logs, play camouflage, look for signs of animals and more! A great way to experience the forest at SM&NC.
